Sharon Chan (陳敏之) and Eunis Chan (陳嘉容) were among the guest models invited to present the creations at the awards ceremony for the Tahitian Pearl Jewellery Design Competition (大溪地珠寶首飾設計比賽) yesterday.

Dressed in a beautiful silver gown, Sharon modelled a stunning black pearl necklace set and she said that she liked the pearls a lot, but has never bought any for herself because she does not know how to tell the difference between natural and simulated pearls. However, she has bought a 2 carat diamond as a reward for herself in the past, costing HK$100,000.

Eunis revealed that when she was 18 year old, she received a pair of pearl earrings from her mother as a birthday gift and they are of great sentimental value so she does not wear them very often. With Christmas approaching, she said that she has not had any invitations to parties yet, but if she has nothing arranged, then she will spend the time with her family and her girlfriends. She added that for the festive occasion, then she has to dress up and join in some parties.

William So (蘇永康), Miki Yeung (楊愛瑾), Tracy Ip (葉翠翠), Sharon Chan (陳敏之), Mandy Cho (曹敏莉) and Alvina Kong (江欣燕) were among the guests at the opening of a designer eyewear store in Kowloon Station’s Elements Mall.

Well known for his bespectacled look, William smiled that his glasses are as important to him as his skin and he remembered on one occasion when he went running without his glasses on, no-one recognised him at all. He realised how important they were to his image after he put them back on and everyone instantly recognised him again.

William revealed that he has over 300 pairs of glasses at home and recently spent a five-figure sum on a pair that he fell in love with. He is also planning to buy a pair of glasses that were once worn by late singing sensation Danny Chan (陳百強).

Miki revealed that she will be spending Christmas working on her new movie in a character that is quite difficult to portray. With the news that her former Cookies colleagues Stephy Tang (鄧麗欣), Kary Ng (吳雨霏) and Theresa Fu (傅穎) are all holding their own concerts, Miki was asked if she was envious of them. She said that they have released more albums than her, but she is not in a hurry and will be concentrating more on her film career.

Tracy will be appearing in numerous promotional events during the busy Christmas period and she said that she will take advantage of this to make some more money. She said that when the stock market falls, then she will be investing in some shares. As well as her fee, Tracy was also presented with a pair of sunglasses from the sponsor and she said that they were ideal because the lenses were large enough to cover bags under her eyes when she goes out without wearing make-up. Tracy admitted that although an artiste’s salary is quite high, she has a lot of outgoings because she has to care for her retired father and pay for rent as well as her mother’s medical fees, maid and housekeeping.

Sharon Chan Wears 40lb of Chocolate

Posted by scnetwork on December 31, 2007

26 December 2007

Last night, Sharon Chan and Maggie (動漫) attended 黃埔新天地’s Chocolate Christmas Fashion Show to show off outfits made out of chocolate. Sharon’s spaghetti strap dress is made of 40 pounds of chocolate, so as a result, walking has been difficult. And Maggie has on a chocolate bikini top with a matching short skirt that showed off her body. Not only did it steal the light from Sharon, it attracted many men to the event to take pictures.

Barbecue on Christmas Eve

Personally, Sharon loves to eat chocolate. She can finish a whole box of Hawaiian Nuts Chocolate. With regards to Maggie stealing her light, Sharon smiling says: “Don’t stress, we frequently bump into each other when attending events.” The reporter asks: “Would you dare wear Maggie’s outfit?” Sharon says: “I can’t because I don’t have the body. Maggie’s body is very suitable for this outfit.” Sharon spent Christmas Eve with her old classmates barbecuing and exchanging gifts. Earlier on, she had purchased three massage machines at one time to give to her family (including one for her mom). Last night, Sharon was looking forward to receiving Christmas gifts because she has been receiving gifts from her friends every year.

Maggie Put on Weight

Maggie reached the event location half an hour early to put on her outfit. However, because the outfit was too sexy, to prevent exposure, they brought out pins, needles and thread, and a stapler. As a result, the event was delayed for 2 hours. Asked if she felt awkward with her outfit, she says, “It’s not awkward, I just hope that the chocolate wouldn’t melt so fast.” Asked if she purposefully dieted to keep fit, she says: “No, instead I have gained a little weight because I just went to Taiwan for 3 days and 2 nights and I was constantly eating hotpot so I’ve gained almost 10 pounds.”
